Only the second fastest in the quarter mile needs to be jealous.
You guys who have not done so yet, DO NEED to get out to your local drag-strip this summer and try it just for fun. The looks on the faces of the ****** rocket kids was well worth the trip.

I've had my bike up to 130 mph. If you can do that in the quarter, you're really moving, probably in the 10's.

Windscreen and all mine did 10.9 @ 123mph at Ceicil Co Dragway in Sept '09. I haven't been back yet to try again, really want to, it was a blast! I sucked at launching, my reaction times were nearly a half second ...
Someone better at it than me, and with out all the road trim could really make good times.

Doug, bet low 10's and 130mph is indeed very possible just the way ours are set up with the right rider.

The strip requires a special license and full leathers if you run over 120mph ... I might be in trouble if I do it more than once. I'd like to see one with a turbo or supercharger run.

Hell, some of the very fastest 1000cc Jixers were only doing high 9's ... I felt like hot **** with a run in the 10's. :)
The cool thing was that those 9 second bikes were looking straight across at me at the 1/8 mile point.

Anything in the 10's is VERY respectable for a 700 lb truck with a barn door wind shield and that radiator.

I know that's right! ;)
Tell where these things would be king of the hill .... on an 1/8 mile track!
A barn door would have alot of folks scratching their heads.
