Gents,
I had the 020355 Tune uploaded from my Roadster. no problems.
changed to 100% secondaries on all gear, all rpm.
changed to new top speed.

downloaded to the bike, no problem. turned ignition off, waited 10 seconds and turned on in order to reset TPS as described in the manual.

I cannot get a respons from the ECU!
the flashing connection light in TuneECU does not change from red.
when I turn on the ignition, neutral light is not on/green, and the normal "hissing" sound form the bike is not heard, although the gauges goes from 0-max-0, engine oil and ABS lights are on.

I disconnected the battery as well for 10 minutes. no change.

tried to start the engine, not a sound of course.

I got no more ideas!

shouldn't I get the "recover ECU" option?
oh, when I turn of the ignition, TuneECU responds immediately that ECU is disconnected, so it _is_ connected in a way and needs a recover of some kind I guess.

have not seen that dialog pop up yet though.

Exactly same thing happened to me as I tried to download a modified 20352 tune to ECU.
I had to do the "recover ECU" procedure three times before my Roadster was alive and kicking again.

BR,
Mika

good to know there is light at the end of the tunnel...
did you wait a specific time before you got the recover option?
I have not seen a dialog box after 5-10 minutes of TuneECU trying to communicate with the ECU.

I got the dialog box in a few secs after turning power on. You could also try to start "Recover ECU" through menu (ECU -> Recovery).

Did you have a charger connected to your battery when downloading tune? I guess it may affect the response time from ECU.

Mika

thanks I look into it.
charger connected and fuse for headlight plugged out as well.
as much juice as possible for the ECU!

Hi,

That does not sound good.

Please notify the problem Alain.

Alain requires such information to improve its software.

If you are using a laptop make sure the power cord is plugged in also and is not just running off of the battery. That always seemed to help me with Tuneboy.

Can I use this thread as an example for the next time someone wants to know why I went with a PCIII rather than alter the ECU? Kinda makes you feel like the knife slipped during brain surgery when it won't start.

Good luck though, hope you get it ironed out.
