Triumphs from Thailand?

My eleventh digit is a "j" and the tenth is "a".

My Roadster was made in the UK no matter if it was or wasn't made in Thailand. LOL
 
I would consider a move to one of those countries (not really) for a job but they don't allow foreigners to do that. No loans, no health care, no grants and no ownership of property for aliens ...

If it's PC to give benefits like that to immigrants here in this country, why doesn't the rest of the world do it? .... because they aren't that stupid and plan to still be around in 50 years.

I had to laugh out loud the other day when Obama said ... and continue programs like giving cheap government loans to start a small business ... hahahahaaaa!! This middle-age white guy couldn't get a government loan/grant to buy a 7-11 to save my life, how about you?
 

Harley Davidson opened a manufacturing facility in India this year..."Made in America"? While Harley says it is only an "assembly plant" and will import American-made parts to keep the "Made in America" myth alive...I would put money down that within the next few years you will be able to find Indian-made Harleys sitting on American showroom floors.

Harley is about as "Made in the USA" as the offerings in your local Wal-Mart. HD hasn't been "Made in the USA" for a LONG time. They are "assembled" in the USA. BUT, that has recently changed too as they now have a factory in India.


Not all Twins are made in Thailand. The Thunderbird is made in the UK.

Tons of the ex-pats i work with live in Thailand it is pretty cheap and relatively safe. I hear the hospitals are very cheap and very nice like a luxury hotel.
 
This is a bummer. Sad to read it. The only reason to outsource to a 3rd world country is to profit on their cheap labor. At least Mr. Bloor had the integrity to avoid communist F'n CHINA, unlike everyone else who doesn't mind helping build a government that killed 80 million of its own people during its "Great Leap Forward" of the 1950's.
I toured the York, PA Harley plant in 2003 back when I was still interested in those clunkers (before I noticed everyone and their sister already owns one or six) and noticed plenty of imported parts. The fenders and tanks were all stamped there using U.S. made steel and many small parts were being machined (on Japanese CNC machine tools), but wheels, electronics, forks, drivetrain parts, were all imported from other countries.
