Don't write it off just yet. And if she is only going to ride a three wheeled bike, look to a Ural Patrol or Gear-up. I am pretty sure right now that a two-wheel drive Ural is in my future. After all, it is extremely hard to ride a R3 in the darn snow and ice. Plus, she will delight in carrying the grand kids in the hack. Then again, grand kids love riding on a Rocekt so I hear

if and when I decide to go to 3 wheels........thinking about a used Honda... BUT I like the looks of the Slingshot!!!!

MB test rode one a couple of weeks ago. The trike is going back in the shop to figure out why they cant get it to run right. Already replaced tps and it helped. They had Triumph corporat on the line last time. I have figured out two of the Triumph dealerships here are less than adequate in expertise. One of them is a cheat....caught them red handed.
Good thing there are others to choose from within driving distance. Will be selling it if and when it is fixed. Slingsot is on the horizon.

Btw just replaced tps on the Touring and fixed it. Still have intermittent start problems. It is an 08. Really sharp. I am sure it is switch and the mickymouse connectors. Sure rides good and comfortable but sick of electrical problems. My 06 standard has had the switch bypassed and a conventional switch cobbled under the tank. Just got it out of the shop after having the blower belt drive gear fail. Was looking forward to a ride the next day. Great weather 70 degrees and been in the shop 3 weeks. You guessed it. Battery hot but wont start. Clearly a connection problem. Again, not buying another Triumph until the get a better history with electrical.

112 years of bad wiring, but their working on it!! Can't even blame it on Lucas anymore, but it's still fun!

Have a good friend with a Slingshot and have ridden with him on trips.
Performance is OK, but it is WAY TOO much like my dune buggy where you sit enclosed and VERY low to the ground, which I do NOT care for.
Sitting up on a motor with better vision that a cage is a real benefit. The Can Am sits up in similar fashion as the Sling sits lower than a cage inhibiting vision fpr passing and negotiation traffic.
The full touring Goldwing is out of the question for me . . . perhaps when I'm over 80.
I'm looking 3 wheels NOT to leave my R3R, but to have something the wife may ride on with me.

Have ridden many trips with a good friend who has a Slingshot (previously had a HD trike). Limited sight distance due to low seat position, lower than a cage.
Makes passing and traffic difficult and NOT NEAR as profficient as a motor or the Can AM. Check out the new F3!
