Education, please Never had to deal with parts being applicable to certain VIN numbers before. Is the 280584 the last six? So that means if the last six of my VIN are 365xxx this part would fit?

Spot on, the last 6 digits of your VIN are greater than 280584 (sometime in 2006 on I think someone said earlier, it's yours if your quick, and maybe they have a 3rd to list.

There was a slightly different earlier version for 2004/5 R3's that does not fit the later R3 Standared and Classic models or Roadsters or Tourings.
