Triumph releases six special editions, promises seven new models by 2012
At a time when much of the motorcycle industry is in a holding pattern, it's encouraging to hear Triumph Motorcycles North America CEO Mark Kennedy say his company will release no fewer than seven new models by 2012. That was the crux of Kennedy's keynote address at the recent Triumph U.S. Dealer Conference in Orlando, Florida. Kennedy showed dealers a concept drawing of a new, more off-road-oriented Tiger and made references to both an updated Sprint ST sport-tourer and a larger-capacity, Trophy-type touring bike to compete against Kawasaki's Concours14, indicating what some of those new models will look like.

Still waiting on the Rocket III Grand Touring model.
Oh yeah, .... the one with the body work like a sleek Interstate? That would be the bomb. If they could somehow isolate the radiator so that the heat can be directed away from the rider in the summer and vented on you in the cold would be great.

I'm a touring rider at heart. I'm really enjoying my Rocket but I'm finding myself looking more and more at dedicated touring models. The R1200RT Beamer was looking real good the other day...

Fixed fairing
Factory Cruise
Factory Sound System

Oh yea, I know what you mean .... I was checking out the new cars ..... uh I mean Honda Interstates at the dealer. WOW, those are loaded with toys. Whats next .... air conditioning?
BMW has changed alot since I had one, I'd like to check one out sometime. I like their off road bikes that have all the fairings and luxuries like a touring.

Whatever you do, don't go test ride one. That is of course, unless you have some extra room in the garage.

I LOVE my Tiger 1050. I was in the showroom going back and forth from the Sprint S/T and the Tiger and was leaning toward the Tiger, but couldn't decide for sure. Then, I test rode the Tiger. That was it; wrote the check and was on my way. lol

I think had the Sprint GT been out when I bought my Tiger it may have been a harder decision, but I think I'd have still gone with the Tiger; will never know for sure now.

I had a 1600 T-bird to use for 3 days and was impressed with the handling and looks. It's probably very powerful but after the R-3 it seemed like a dog. And then there was the vibration! Before the R-3 came out I was considering trading the 1200 Trophy on a Tiger.
