For the first time since I have come back from working overseas I have not had to buy a new battery. Whether or not it is because my family didn't unplug my newest charger by accident or what I don't know. But after having my battery plugged in to the Triumph Optimate 3+ Desulfating Charger + Tester (I think it sells for $59.95...I got mine from my Triumph dealer / D&D Cycles) since Dec. 27th during our cold winter here and plenty of freezing temperatures my Rocket started up...like "right now" when I turned the key, after reinstalling it in the bike this morning. It was sweet music to my ears after usually figuring out, in the past, that I had to get another battery...not this time.

So add this to the list of other battery tenders and whatever that are used to keep these batteries up when the bike is not in use...I recommend it for whatever that is worth.:)

Yep..

Its very very good isnt it.. I swear by them - will resurrect even the most dead of batteries too!!

or, just trickle charge and condition the battery for as long as you want. Not too shabby hey! :D

Hi Dennis glad your home..did you get a chance to ride?
I have a optimate 3 and it's one of the best thing that i have bought..it does exactly what it say's on the box..i think you can get an optimate 5 now or is it 6..anyhow i
know that i wouldn't be without one. and would strongly reccomend one.
Especially with a bike like ours..just plug her in and forget about it
All the best

I hear you Dave, but that isn't happening till January or so when I 'm home for good and can jump on the new one.

If it's nice, get out and put a few miles on her, I am sure both of you will be greatfull !

Welcome home Dennis.
Glad your bike started up.
Nice ain't it.
It was tough keeping Dave from salvaging parts again in your absence.
The lock didn't even slow him down.
Blew through that like it wasn't even there,
or more aptly,
like a strong North wind blowing in from the high country under a kilt.
;)

Hey Don't take to many parts off that Bike.. It has to go north in week or so......lol

By the way xhdskip there is nothing wrong with a nice breeze under your kilt every now and again !!!:)
