They tend to run small, in my experience, I usually wear a 46T, I'd try a 48, I need a 48T in Triumph or any other European coats.

All T Jackets I have tried have shorter sleeves than I can fit.
Buy one or two sizes up if your arms are normal or longer.

My two other friends with T Jackets have tham fit properly but they are height challenged. 5-6 180 and 5-8 with 220.

My 6-0 220 needs longer sleeves.

I have the Triumph H2O jacket ( & pants) in a 52" & that's a nice snug fit over a Tee shirt( right size for me) which I like in a bike jacket. if you wanna fit a wooly jumper underneath, which ya probably do in Wales! you'll need a larger looser size.

IMHO, unless you like your leather jackets just right & tight, order at least one size larger; 48 or 50 should do if you like some room to breath when the jacket is zipped - especially if it's straight-cut and equipped with shoulder and other built-in padding. Ride Safe!
