Does anyone have one of those hideous Triumph accessory clocks that they have takin' off their bike in shame and embarrassment ? Mine quit keeping time. Hoping someone has one they don't use for cheap ?

1st one I,ve heard of failing. Have you checked the plugs?

I hear ya. I've had the bike for 5 years and it's never needed to be set (I leave the battery in, in the winter and keep it on a battery tender). When it stopped keeping time I took the cover off and the little circuit board where the time set buttons are was a little corroded looking. Cleaned it up and tried it but still no joy. Then I ran a wire straight to the battery to rule out the harness. Still not good. Last night I unplugged the little board with the time set buttons in case one of the little switches were corroded inside (no small feat as the little bastard is glued in). It kept time for a couple hours before I went to bed. Haven't checked it yet today. Hopefully that was it. I can live without the buttons. It's not hard to short the pins together to set the time (which is a very rare occasion) you have to take the cover off is all.

At least if it stops again Fred it will be telling the right time twice a day. You just need set it on the most useful time.

Took the clock apart today. Had to cut the housing with an abrasive wheel. There is a tiny plastic gear where the arrow is pointing that is worn out. I'm going to take it to a watch shop tomorrow to see if they can do anything for it. All the other gears are metal. Not sure why they cheaped out on the smallest one. For anyone who doesn't ride in the winter I would suggest unhooking the clock when not in use as this gear will fail in yours eventually.
Does anyone have one of these that is smashed ? I could take two and make one good one.
