Scot...I laugh in your face...your threats mean nothing to me...Ha! I've already told you my terms for going to MV...we'll see what comes up.

As for how the T-bird stacks up against the Rocket...I like both...the long haul seats on both are about the same...not very comfortable after about 80 miles or so...but it probably is because I need to lose some weight...if I was lighter the seat would probably have felt better. Gas mileage...T-bird is about a plus 3 or 4 more per gallon. Not as much variance on that even with some hard acceleration like the Rocket experiences. Had a lot of head wind today from Huntsville, AL on down...was getting only about 37 mpg...usually I range in at about 38 to 42...this is doing about 75 to sometimes a little over 80. The Rocket, if I remember right, was getting about 38 in it's "sweet spot" of around a steady 80 to 90...after that it would suffer worse mileage (this is my experience with my 2007 Rocket III Classic).

Power wise...there was no lack of power with the T-bird, you twisted the throttle and it had plenty of get up and go...with the Rocket it would happen faster but with my Hogslayer pipes on it sounded really good unlike the stock exhaust I had on my Rocket.

I don't think the T-bird liked some of the curves going past MV on Monday but that was probably mainly me...I am just not a curve carver like a bunch of you other guys.

Other than that the bike held up real well I was really pleased but...I do miss the Gold Wing on trips like these...the top box, the cruise control and especially the stereo.

But it was a good trip.

Glad you're home safe and sound. Those kind of trips last longer than the miles ridden. Ride Safe my friend.

Great to hear your back home and got in a moto trip. Home for good? I've got a Yellowstone trip planned for June on the Wing, can't hardly wait. Hopefully won't get snowed out like the trip up there two years ago.

Unless Dyncorp or KBR gives me a call...I am probably home for good.

It is winding down over there with only about two and a half years to go before the big pull out. I'd go again if they called but it appears everyone over there is hunkering down on the job they have and staying out of trouble as they know the job situation over here in the US pretty much "sucks" for lack of a better word.

Still unemployed...but I do get to take these trips....
