I'm currently running with a cat-delete and the stock pipes, and I was told that the appropriate tune for that setup loaded.

I have just bought a set of TOR pipes. Will the current tune work acceptibly with the TOR pipes untill I can get a new tune loaded, or do I need to get the new tune done ASAP?

I'm assuming I won't damage anything if the tune isn't 100% perfect.

I beleive that when triumph load up a tune for the cat delete it is the tors tune.Might be worth giving them a ring to find out.Only takes a few minutes to load in and is a standard tune that triumph load up for what you have.

Louder and less restrictive exhaust tends to make leaner air/fuel (bigger volume of unburnt mixture finds its way to exhaust manifold due to easier flow- that's why aftermarket, louder exhaust pops or backfires more often).
I reckon that engine with ECU should manage to adjust itself to altered conditions, but you should upload TOR's tune- just for peace of mind- long term running lean might lead to loss of power caused by reduced compression (because of valve-seat damage).

Two seperate tunes for cat by-pass with standard pipes. Another one for cat by-pass with tors.

One tune for cat delete with stock pipes and a different tune for cat delete with tors.

Hi, I've just fitted a cat bypass with stock pipes and the dealer loaded "aftermarket pipes with no cat". Not shore if this is right as I would have thought aftermarket pipes would be free flow same as TORs. Would this not make her run rich.

Now I'm confused. I received a tune when I removed my cat and installed a de-cat w/ stock pipes. When I installed my TORS, the dealer said I was all set. I didn't know there were two seperate tunes. I do get alot of popping during decel. Nitebell has been trying to get me to buy a $100 access (or whatever you call it) so I can use his Tuneboy on my bike. If I do this, which Tuneboy tune works best for de-cat, TORS and drop-in K&N? Sorry don't mean to steal your thread but now I'm all :?

Check for black carbon buildup in tail pipes, Would think this tune will be too rich a mixture for cat by-pass with standard pipes. Get the shop to load the correct tune. If they loaded the wrong tune they should load the correct tune and not charge you for correct one.
