TomTom to the Rocket 3GT

It updated this morning, wirelessly, with the latest speed camera locations.
"Speed camera ahead one mile" Thank you Tom Tom.
"Speed camera ahead 800 yards" Yeah, I'm good now. Thanks

I have the Zumo XT2 and love it for longer rides into unknown areas. After spending much time researching and trying to use "free" google my way I decided that a stand alone satnav unit suits my purpose better although I do use google with the phone in my tank bag and audio navigation quite a bit as well. The main issues I have with google are it's limitation in route planning and creating a route my way for it to follow which it does badly since it always wants to be smarter. With Garmin I can create MY route the way I want to go and it will stick to it. I also listen to music a lot and if my android phone has any network connection whatsoever and a message/call comes in, the music is momentarily interrupted no matter what silent/do not disturb etc settings I have selected. So using my phone as a music player without network connection on airplane mode allows for uninterrupted music, my Zumo takes care of navigation and all is well.
On longer rides I can also create way points for fuel stops so I don't have to think about that and just enjoy the ride.

I would just say it misses a lot of things and sites other map software finds easily like Google maps. So I would find an address on Google that's adjacent to what I'm actually visiting when I can find the "point of interest).
