Well fellas, the old girl has been sitting more than she's been rolling since we got the convertible so I'm thinking its time to pass her on to someone who will keep her working. Best motorcycle I've ever owned, that's for sure. I'll probably get tired of the car and end up buying a new Rocket but for now it's adios. Hope y'all don't mind me still popping in every now and then and saying howdy. I enjoy your advice and company. Great group of helpful folks here!
No No No No No... Do not sell your Rocket (unless you are going to up-grade to a Roadster.) I went through the same thing for a good while when we bought our Porsche. The Rocket and my other bikes at the time that were parked in the garage sat unused for quite some time. I used to tell folks they were in the garage getting rusty because they were crying to be ridden. The Porsche was just too much fun when it was new to us. It still is, but so is the Rocket. Its OK to let the Rocket sit just a bit longer until your ready to ride again. Funny thing is now the Porsche sits more than the Rocket.
Enjoy that convertible David, don't be a stranger and stop by, maybe i will see you driving your new toy around Dallas on one of my many trips there every year
Funny I been thinking about selling my baby too and getting an Explorer so I can go on the fire trails for a bit of hunting ....... But then I go out and take "the Mistress" for a spin and well that ain't ever goner happen!
And don't be a stranger between now and when you get a Rocket a again
Cheers

Funny, Hanso, I took her to town to get her inspected yesterday and the mechanic had never seen a rocket before. He drooled as he crawled hands and knees on the ground inspecting every inch of her grinning the whole time and asking a thousand questions. He was in awe and reminded me why I bought her in the first place.
