I just wanted to get back on and say "Hi" to everyone.

But I wanted to share an event we were just to yesterday (final day is today).

My wife and I went to the Thunder in the Valley gathering in Johnstown, Pa.

They believe about 20,000 bikes will be there.

Last year we were there and at the time I owned a Star (Yamaha) Tour Deluxe.

Saw my first Triumph Rocket at the event that day.

One R3 Roadster and one R3 Touring.

That spurred me on to buy one.

Last year in July we bout a new R3 Touring.

(Some may remember the string of events that followed that purchase!)

But we had a great day of the R3 Tour yesterday.

Our bike runs like a dream and we got to see many different makes and models this year.

But this year we saw only one R3 Roadster (great orange color) and the only R3 Touring was our own.

So, to those in the NE section of the US, don't forget Thunder in the Valley!

About a 3.5 hour run from our house.

God bless!!

Michael

Their was at least 2 R3T's there because I had mine there also. Had a great time even though it was very hot.

That is great to hear!

We watched the parade and I told my wife there was not a Triumph section.

Or even just a combined Euro section.

I remember seeing the orange R3R and wondering if that was a stock color.

Did you ride your R3T in from Ohio?

I hear a lot of out of state riders trailer in.

God bless!!

Michael

Good Info - Thanks!

I live in Nortwest Pennsylvania. Gee, if I had only known . . . I would have been there. On my black Rocket III Roadster.

posted 3 but not sure where they went

update visitor bureau estimated over 200,000 attended over the weekend! the next rally we will be attending is Gettysburgbikeweek.com

Yea, I rode to the rally. It's a 2.5 hour ride from home. The ride is half the fun. Trailering is for broken bikes and loud chrome one's.
