Throttle trouble

Twistgrip broke lug on throttle opening cable where it holds the nipple had to call out a get u home truck. On investigation the twistgrip is plastic not metal a not very strong.
Anybody else had this or am i all alone?

Bike about 15 months old but hoping for policy warranty.

They should... The warranty is very good.. I had a bunch of problems and the mech worked with Triumph through a troubleshooting process to find the problem...

Crap plastic. Mine was replaced under warranty.

Mine was the heated grip that broke, same thing, cheap plastic. However, it broke not once, but twice now. Triumph replaced it the first time under warrenty but wont fix it the second time. They make good products, but not this one. Cheap plastic, metal throttle cable = broke grip!!!
