Called Robinson yesterday and spoke to Bill.
He stated that turn around time is 6 weeks. I gotta get busy splitting the cases. Clock starts when Robinson receives the Transmission.
Hello, I am rolling along at the same pace as Sonny in regards to sending my 2006 Rocket III standard (10.5K miles)Transmission to Robinson Industries to evaluate and upgrade Trans components and installing the Upgrade kit purchased at Hermy’s Triumph. The upgrade kit is obviously important based on combing the forum for common issues. Currently I have the Engine out of the bike . I want to keep the bike for a while and I have concerns about slipping out of second gear as well as troubles getting into second gear at High revs. Also, at times it feels as if I loose the gear engagement while riding hard. No grinding but a sensation of a momentary gear loss. Hard to explain . Maybe I’m spinning the tires and then tire gains traction? Don’t know.
I’m not sure of exactly sure of what I should send to Robinson . I have read about splitting the cases but not sure if I need to. I‘m reluctant to start tearing into the engine more then I have to to install the upgrade components.
BTW: Happy Anniversary Sonny!
Feels like a " skip", right? I had the same thing, second gear, too. Dogs in transmission are worn, and they're disengaging, then catching again. Robinson can back cut them, I almost can guarantee that is the issue.

Exactly what my 4th gear issue felt like for me. The dogs were worn and I suspect that was actually the root cause for me. Under power it skips. Not actually coming out of gear, just slipping out of engagement. I ordered new Triumph components and will reassemble when I get time.
somny, when are you going to stop ***** around and remove that engine! @mr hunt removes his every two weeks! Rebuilds it and reinstalls it by the end of the weekend! Waiting patiently,
JAG!

Set a new PB last month - 4hrs to get engine back in frame and test riding (including front wheel refit and all shrouds/covers) I'm not sure if I'm proud or sad that I've had that much practice
Man i am working on it. Back is broken and Knees are shot. Limited to weekends due to working overtime at work. That and physical therapy four times a week is not helping. When I say am messed up is a understatement. Taking over 18 hundred milligrams daily of nerve pills along with pain killers and some kind of pills to keep my knees from swelling up. Doing the best i can.
Make sure you lift the back of the bike first when removing it from the engine, and be careful of the plug at the back of the engine, it is easy to break.
