Good onya @Bone crusher , a ballsy move but sounds like you have it covered.
I brought a VMax after a 20 year lay off and eased into it but I later did a refresher course and picked up quite a few tips and sorted out a few bad habits
Hopefully see you around for a ride with some of the Brissie crew
I fell off my 1st Vmax in the rain on a round about , changing from 3rd into 2nd got a false neutral and ended up in 1st , low speed crash but fkn hurt
I recon I could do with a refresher course as I have plenty of bad habits..
Seriously I would do a refresher, let me know if your keen an I might do it at the same time. @ozrider where did you do your refresher?
I've seen your habits, not sure how you could possibly reform yourself at this point in time and with that much giggle juice on tap. Can you see yourself doing a Q ride course with smoke pouring off the rear ?

I have never stopped riding, but after assing off a while back I did an advanced rider course, council and ACC (Accident Compensation Corp, govt welfare insurance thing in NZ) subsidized. Was great, learned a lot, had a great time and met some cool people, I highly recommend going on one, they do specific ones for returning rider also.
Great! If I have motivated a few blokes to do a refresher Motorcycle Rider course then all's well that ends well ,Actually I was expecting a bullocking for sounding a bit condescending in suggesting a refresher course would be a good idea for guys returning to riding,
Hey @Bone crusher I picked my Rocket up from team Moto at Springwood also back in 2009 and I had come from a 750 shadow as my first bike . Never even test rode the rocket and the day I picked it up was a wet day. The staff wher also concerned about me and wher watching me as I nervously rode off in peak traffic in the rain haha . Stalled it a few times too on the way home.I just kept thinking how big is this fkn thing haha

Its a matter of putting your ego aside sometimes and doing the sensible thing, I learn new stuff everyday and will continue too, until I get altzeimers anyway
