Technicalities of Stereo Systems on Motors

I would run the fairing on longer trips and enjoyed the tunes when I would get into towns I would turn it down or if I was not doing long hauls I just run the wind screen it was once to have a choice on a 1000 mile ride to have somethings to listen to but to each there own most don't spend for a great sounding system as I did and don't know why I did but I did like it

Stereos on bikes might be fun for that stop by the side of the road or motorcycle "tailgate party"... on the road they have to be useless, especially as every rider who likes their hearing should be riding with ear plugs.

Now, sure, you could try to make enough noise from the speakers that you hear it through 75 mph worth of wind noise, engine noise, a full-face helmet and earplugs, but yeah, good luck with that.

In-ear earphones that act like ear plugs to keep the noise out and then allow you to pipe in music at a reasonable volume is the only sensible way to get music in. That's not legal to do everywhere though.

Possibly in-helmet communications speakers combined with earplugs that don't muffle the noise, just lower it in such a way as to not interfere with sound quality very much.
