Tassie 2012

Great Day in Tassie

Albatross & I caught up with Ponters and mates at Swansea today. Great bunch and we did the Lake Leake road to Campbell Town for brunch at the Red Bridge Cafe. Down to Ross (bikes everywhere) then down and across to Bothwell via Hollow tree road. We left the guys at Hamilton. Forkin good riding with dry roads = quick times and sunshine all day. The day was just not long enough.

Thanks Ponters for a great day out.

G'day Ponters,
great to meet up with and the others, how was the rest of the trip?
That beast of yours sure has some grunt in a straight line
See you again one day
we will have to have more of a chat about the rear brake lock up situation that we spoke about
Regards
Duncan

Ponters beast is a piece of art. I have some work to do..............

Good to catch up Duncan, good day out. Got home around 4.30ish.

Cheers

What a blast the last two days have been. Decided to open her up properly as sun was shining, roads perfect and WOW!!!!!

All I can say is 720 corners From Hamilton To Queenstown and all of a sudden I'm in need of 2 new pegs. First time I really pushed on and I can confirm, Metzler did well on the slow tight stuff but anything over 160k on sweepers had me drifting out of them with lots of smoke. Fun for2 or 3 of my lads to watch but makes for a need for more rubber.

Can't believe I left Ross with near new tyres about 3500k and in 200 k the edges are near gone.

Great meeting Duncan And Steve. Be great to meet again. We ended up shaving 1:15 off the GPS ETA.

Oh and by the way, rode a mates Victory for150k and drained a full tank of fuel and smoked his brakes.

Sorry Victory fans but you call that a bike? Perhaps you should keep that story for the ladies next time you go to your beauty salon. What a bag of ****!

The only thing that could make this ride better is having a few of you guys down here. Some of this crew (mates of my lads) are effing skirts.

Chat soon.

P.S. Steve And Duncan thanks for leading some of the boys for me. Gave me a chance to check on the slow fellas. Your Both Champs! And Duncan, the second you build a solution for our breaks issue the sooner everybody on this SITE MUST BUY ONE AND FIT IT!!!!!!

A view of what we watched as we relax from the ride
