Hi!

I'm 6'7", about 220 pounds, 36" inseam. I've just bought my very first R3R (2016) and am struggling a lot with the riding position. I know (by reading this excellent forum) that a more or less "standard" solution for tall people includes:
- install forward controls (almost completed; FC17 are on their way!)
- install handle bar risers (will check after installng the FC17)
- install a different seat.

About that seat: I'm looking for a solo seat offering some more room to stretch my legs. I've read about a gel seat offering just that, but I just can't find it again (and of course, forgot to bookmark it...) . Any ideas? A brand name / type / product number would be very(!!) helpful.

Best regards,
Gleek

Sadly, I have the same issue. I’m an inch shorter than you and probably about 25 pounds heavier. I’m sure if I really tried I could have made suitable mods but I just kept feeling that no matter what I’d do, I’d still look like a monkey on a clown bike and long journeys would hurt! So I passed on the new rockets.

I hope you find a solution!

Have you tried the seat from a GT model?
It is slightly lower than the R seat but that won't be a issue if you're going for feet forward controls.
The significant point is that the seat is slightly bigger (front to back) which is both more comfortable and allows you to sit about an inch or so further back, compared to the R seat.

That's interesting @Jagster , I'll look in to that, thanks!

By the way, do you refer to the standard GT seat, or to an after market (Corbin, ...)?

To be honest, i've not tried anything other than the two stock Triumph seats. One thing I can say is that the GT is way more comfortable compared to the R.
Worth a try IMHO.
For reference: I'm 6' 3" with 34" inseam & regular build. (My set-up is GT seat, Mid-Controls, GT bars).
