Tail light swap?

Has anyone ever switched out the rear brake light from the tear drop to something else?
Looking for an LED option.

Yeah, there are plenty of posts by @1olbull and @barbagris if you do a search. Most just put red LED bulb replacements in but the threads and posts by those two fellas cover light spectrum color selection and more technical details include the suitable aftermarket LED arrays on circuit boards to fit.

The Thunderbird later model ones are similar shape size and use LED circuit board arrays and may fit with a bit of modding or swapping out the LED plate to the Rocket one. Interestingly the raer tail light is one of the few things shared between the dual headlight and single headlight Rocket III.

I posted pics of one a few years ago and somebody snapped it up from eBay shortly after and fitted it I think. They still come up on eBay or USA Pinwall via wreckers etc.

Otherwise go strip LED and fit in a number of ways without cutting rear fender etc.
Lots of aftermarket fiberglass fender versions from TRIUMPH CUSTOM PARTS | eBay Stores in UK with the strip lights built in or available as options.

1000's of cheap options from Chinese eBay sellers and Ali Express etc and they ARE OFTEN 25% OR LESS THE PRICE OF EXACTLY THE SAME ITEM SOLD BY RETAILERS SOURCED FROM CHINA.
