I have owned and ridden my Rocket for the past 17 years and for the past 12 years run rear CT's. 225/50 or 55's. Any ideas on the best tire to run by brand and type?

Thanks....
I know this sounds like I’m taking the p*ss (I’m not) but why not try visiting something like a hot hatch drivers forum? They must have heaps of information on the best car tyres for grip, longevity, etc. Certainly much more than a motorcycle forum I’d imagine.

Just a thought (not taking the p*ss honest!)

Late info... I run a 225/55R16 Riken Raptor. Not as wide as the 240. Makes it easier on cornering. Only cost $110.00. I've had it on my Rocket for two years and with 10,000 miles on it, it still looks like new. It requires about 20% more input but with zero let go at any angle or throttle input. I will not go back to a stock tire that last 4,000 miles. The tire works great in the rain. But, to each their own. Have a great day of riding.

There is the key . . . "Only cost $110.00."
By all means, do your thing, Amigo, but please do NOT try to claim a car tire is best for a motorcycle.
That is not only incorrect, but flies in the face of science and the thousands of engineers that have designed both Automobiles and motorcycles.
Be well.

I have been using a rear Ct on my 2018 Rocket 3 Roadster since 2019, using MAXXIS 215/60R16 95V HP-M3 $75 with almost 1/2 inch tread depth and was mounted by the Wheel Shop in Phoenix Arizona. The original rear Metzler had a side wall blowout, lucky I had help pushing the beast a 1/2 mile to a truck stop. So far I have ridden 18,500 miles on the tire and hardly any wear. Have found that 36PSI is the sweet spot and have no trouble with turning and no wobbles at high speed (eh allegedly). I have bought a Metzler for the front once in 2020 replacing the original.

New to here. I have a 2008 rocket. Permanently installed dmc sidecar. So, don't have to worry about cornering issues. What's the best car tire to put on the rear?
Size and brand.
Thanks.

I really like the Ryken Raptor tread, had a 245mm at one time.
My concern is tire rubbing with the 245.Has that been a problem with the 245? I've seen other post 225/50r 16.
I saw a continental extremecontact DWS 06 plus 225/50RZ/16 That looks good. What do you think?
