Hi there, looking to purchase a 2025 Storm GT - will likely buy from a California dealership. Assume it will have a charcoal canister installed. From what I read about it, there is no downside, unless there is a tip over and the canister floods with gas. With that in mind, has anyone removed the canister from a newer model Rocket 3? If so, any guidance would be appreciated!
If it's anything like KTM's charcoal canisters you'll need a dongle and bypass kit to stop an error code coming up when the canister is removed. Rottweiler make kits for KTM, maybe they do for Triumph as well.

The P3 kit looks identical to this one.
It says that the kit is not compatible with US and Canadian bikes as they have a specific Evap system. Whether that's merely a legal disclaimer or there's a technical difference between American and European models I don't know but it might be worth checking out first if you're stateside.
Why would you want to remove the canister, if it's well hidden? I have removed them before on my BMW, but was only because they looked god awful ugly
in the way they placed them on the bike.
