Stiff throttle?

You can tell by whether it is left hand or right hand grip. SAE is always right hand grip.
 
Will, try lossening one of the cable barrel adjusters on the throttle grip (should be two cables) a half turn or so. If the tension is too high on both cables it can cause binding in the grip throttle tube. Alternatively the problem may be too much spring tension. It should not require a gorilla grip to open the throttle up, or hold it in place. If you want to compare, go to a dealer and try a few others out (and make sure it's not your dealer, the wrench in the back that assembled the bike may be misadjusting them, so the show room is full of poorly assembled bikes).
 
I noticed after riding in the rain that mine too are a little weird kinda like sticky now when I twist it. I guess I need to lube them too. Anyone done that before?

That is interesting. Why did they install two springs? For redundancy in case one breaks?

I know that Triumph always takes warnings and disclaimers regarding the Rocket to a abnormally high level sometimes, with all of the wordage and stuff in the manuals; but did they overdo it with the two springs on the throttle body linkage?
