on the old gears and cable i would calibrate the odometer by changing the percentages most of the time the speedos would b right on.i had a two mile coarse i would drive and for example if it was two tenths over for 2 mile that would make it 1 teenth over or 10% for 1 mile then i would change the gears to slow odometer 10%
