If Triumph is like other manufacturers, "sold out" only means the factory has sold all their bikes to dealers, there are still bikes sitting at dealers.
An example I've seen of this is when the Indian Scout was introduced Indian announced early on they were sold out. My closest dealer still had 9 or 10 on the floor in August, no idea how many out back, and actually ended up offering 0% interest for 5 or 6 years to get rid of non current models.
