So, are the new ones trouble-free?

Lets all be honest when the Rocket 3 has issues.
* It cost big dollars*
Plan on a several $1000 dollar tow bill to get you to a dealer.
Parts will be a long wait

from what I can see a "few" have had major trouble with their rocket...and I dare you to go to any motorcycle forum on the net... and not find a "few" that fall into that... this bike is a POS and I would not buy another one blah..blah...blah.. for the most part this a sold bike that many are riding around on with thousands miles with out any trouble at all !!!! but read over the forum and you will find what the issues are ..the big one that comes to mind is the ignition switch ..but that is a easy fix ..I have done this mod my self ...I had I nice long talk with my dealer last month about the rocket and its future and while I was there I guy came in on his rocket with over 88.000 thousands miles on it ..I had a good talk with him ..used to a member here but got tired of a couple a-holes ...but any way his bike got that many miles on it with no trouble ..dealer say they have more trouble with the speed triples then other triumph bike...

Mine has 73K miles on it. Most of my down time over the years has been due to waiting on parts her and there. It is running GREAT right now. I will be rebuilding the clutch soon. I rode to work yesterday and am still amazed how smooth she's running.. betterh than new right now. I ordered a set of Barnett clutch plates and springs that should be in this weekend.. At 73K miles, and sometimes I have beat on a ZX-14 or some other hot shot, I'm not complaining about having to rebuild the clutch..

Getting her ready to make another ride to Sturgis next August...

My 2011 Roadster just ticked over 30,000 miles and she runs better now than when it was new. It has been in every state east of the Mississippi and a few on the other side so it is definitely a Touring machine.

To answer the question YES the problems have been sorted and the Roadster is a better bike than the older models in every respect,
Engine is stronger,
Tranny is quicker
Suspension is MUCH improved
brakes with ABS

and it all works.
Oh and I went through an '05 (cam gear detonated the engine at 10K Miles) Triumph did the right thing and replaced it with an '06, but it lost 2nd gear. I was off Triumph for a while but came back for the Roadster and haven't regretted it.
