Slipped into neutral and dropped my bike

Yep... Never happened to me.
My clutch lever was toast afterwards. Happened in front of a dozen R3 riders on our Harvey Bay RDU.
also bent the left foot control rail.
That's why I took the heel lever of my R3T a couple of times I accidently put my heel on the lever and it sneaked into neutral ,nasty when you let the clutch out and nothing happens in a slow turn.

Brother, i am glad both of you are realitively OK. We live to fight another day...

I've noted this same trick - works for me as well.

I've had a similar experience with mine downshifting for an intersection. The bike slows down (engine braking) then if the traffic light changes before I come to a full stop and accelerate, the bike has jumped into neutral a few times.

Being aware of the issue has corrected the problem though!

Dropped mine last year when a jackass stepped out from behind some bushes while I was in a turn. I wish there were witnesses though cause I picked that ****er up like it was nothing. Adrenaline is powerful stuff.

I also use the Canberra clutch trick. Have been for years.

yep that's right so far i'm the shortest ass riding the r3 ,people think its too big for me but i tell them it don't matters how big you are if it's going to fall over you an't going to stop it

Kinda like an airplane, when she goes into a stall the best you can do punch out !

I dropped the bike once after two magaritas i did the front brake stop thing, the floor board saved the day but the mirror got scratched.

I almost dropped mine on a ride during RAAIX. I was in a steep curve (with a bunch of other riders). I down shifted from (I thought 4th) to 3rd. Somehow, it made it to 2nd. When I let out the clutch, the motor didn't want to come up to rpm as fast as I was expecting and locked up the wheel. Thought I had done something to the tranny. Come to find out later, the change in cam degree and super charger add, makes the motor resist a LOT more. Lesson well learned.

I though the Aussi's were the only ones driving to work like that......

Blower drag going slow is a *****, I had the raask rear sets on mine and parking lot maneuvers and getting my feet up fast enough to change gears were fun...
