Sidestand Extension

The rivco

I moved my side stand pad from my 2005std to my 2011 roadster and it fitted no problem.

Thanks, scot in exile. Having been filled with confidence from your experience, I just ordered what seems to be the Rivco side stand foot from the Squaredeal website's clearance page. They are listing it at 9.99 UK pounds plus 20.00 pounds shipping/handling.

https://www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk/t...rds-new-old-stock--clearance-price-6365-p.asp

The selling price in the cart became 8.33 pounds without 20% VAT. Using Paypal's exchange rate today, the delivered cost is US$38.14.

Thanks to Ishrub for letting me know where to find this rare part.
Hopefully there will be a happy ending in NE Ohio in the next few days!

And if it is the same version labelled R3-TR3013-2 Side Stand Pad Rocket 3, and that I bought from Squaredeals a year or two ago, it is for the R3Classic and pre ABS R3Classic 'Tourer' (not 'Touring') accessory loaded 'Special' version from Triumph.
Their kickstands have a relocated tang for foot-boards. The early Stds that @scot in exile had was a pegged bike, not a foot-board model.

I think I mentioned that here or in a similar thread. (Yep Post #5 above)

Most RIVCO R3 designs were well before 2008 and their stuff was made only slightly later after the later ABS Roadster versions emerged. Obviously most but not all earlier R3 stuff fits the later ABS Roadsters but not all.

This the version that @scot in exile has and the link was posted earlier too by @Bob R

Rivco Sidestand Pad for your Triumph Rocket III

This clever pad slides over the stock sidestand foot and is secured with a setscrew. It has over two times the area of the original. No more worries about your bike falling over or fumbling around looking for a piece of wood or beer can. Machined from billet aluminum and triple chrome plated.

$42.95

I tried to reach NewR3.com; sometimes it refused to connect, other times it bounced me to NewBonneville.com. I couldn't find availability of the Rivco pad there, or anywhere else on the interwebs for that matter. I searched Ebay US, Ebay UK, etc looking for something that could be made to work, but the Rocket's diamond shape pad doesn't fit any pad that I found.

The NewR3.com picture shows a short side stand tang sticking straight out, in line with the main leg. The Squaredeals picture shows a long tang sweeping to the rear. The tang on my R3R is long and sweeps to the rear just like Squaredeals pic, so I'm hoping for the best.

Squaredeals Product Code: R3 TR3013-2
Description: Triumph Rocket III Sidestand Pad: 2007on Classic & Tourer With Factory Floorboards

Please let us know if it works and post a photo. I have a 2007 “Tourer” . Thinking of picking up a pad.
