Shock suggestions

I have the stock shocks on preload position #4 out of 5. I'm a big, heavy guy at 6'6" and 275 pounds.

There were some reports that the R3 setup from Ohlins is far too harsh for country road use being track oriented. The NZ Ohlins dealer makes NZ specification only versions but will not apparently sell them outside NZ for some reason. @Tal may remember. I think he got Wilber's Eurospec high end ones and found them WAY to harsh for NZ roads.

Hi Guys. What’s your thoughts on the Hagon rear shocks. I’m replacing mine next month and the write ups are pretty good. Been quoted £365 for a pair. Are there better ones out there for the same price or cheaper. Cheers

The OHLINS performed exceptionally well in my opinion and i have to say i'm very happy with them. The bumps have smoothed out alot and the bike is very "Solid"...All in all a good move. Thanx to Robert from KSS.

I'm confused. Ohlins doesn't have an application for the Rocket 3 Roadster on their website and the pictures posted above don't look like Ohlins.

Bugger this....

1st he got the Wilburs then regretted it.

I got the exact same Wilburs for my 2013 R3R and can't believe the difference. If I had known it would make that much difference in handling I would have bought them the first day, regardless of the price. ( Well, maybe not totally regardless?) But I think they're worth more than list price...

As stated these were built specially by NZ Ohlins tech for @Tal I sure he can share more. The photos do appear to be similar to the Wilbers without piggy backs.
Most Ohlins are usually piggy back style which may not fit with stock panniers but some Racetech piggy back remote reservoir versions have been used with aftermarket luggage .

I used Traxxion front shocks and Racetech on the rear. It has helped a lot but the expense was significant.

I run Ohlins, with Racetech springs in the forks.

I replaced my shocks and forks with RaceTech G3S custom equipment due to a local dealer being nearby my home.
It behaves like a heavy sports bike, whilst giving comfort to all my rebuilt/replaced human bits.
The inventment in upgraded suspension (regardless of the brand), has possibly been the best money I've spent on bike performance.
It was great to have the rear shocks replaced, but when the forks were also given the full treatment, it took it up a few levels.
