Rusty Chrome!!!!

Sorry to have to report the same problem here in the states.

I have an 06 with the same crappy chrome.I've had Harleys

in the past, dirt bikes, boats and my cars and I have never had

such bad chrome.It only took a few short months to start showing

rust and thats after spraying it down regularly with wd40.

My chrome accesories are showing signs as well .... :?

My dresser rails around the panniers show corrosion at the welds and the holes for the fastening-bolds

The black pannier supports also start to corrode at the welds

Al the stock chrome is in a perfect condition (read still like it was the first day).

I have been riding all winter on salty roads and clean the bike ones a month.

Ive had the end caps of the exhausts (rust) replaced the lower part of the handle bar risers replaced (chrome peeling) a rear footrest hanger replaced ( copper showing through the chrome) bolts rusting etc etc ive done a list for Nomad that is on the Rocket III owners club website www.rocket3oc.co.uk & is too long for me to write again it lists over 17 problems ive had oil leeks/rust/electrics etc & has cost me over £1000 in time of work to get SOME of them sorted if Nomad wants to put my list on this site feel free mate.
