Run Turn Brake Controller and LED's

Here is a direct LED replacement for the 1157 only 5.99 too!!!
12 LED Bulb (1157 Bulb Replacement) - LED1157

And from my search its apparent that bulb is a pain in the arse. There maybe a replacement but I might change the whole assembly if I cant find one that fits right. Im sure you can change the mount and keep the standard lens. Ill keep searching.

For near the same money, I'm going with the Kuryakyn RTB Controller, it has an additional flasher feature that flashes all the lights 3 times when you hit the brakes.

I've had it on two other bikes and it works / hold up well.

More info:

The BAU15s stem type is also used in BMW mc's. Similar to the ones used in the R3T.

Here's a link:

I think I'll try these and hope they work.

I received my bulbs yesterday. They just fit inside the signal housing. AND they work ! Of course they were flashing quickly, because I didn't hook up a load equalizer.

Now I can get the rest of the bits to do the lights in back.

Run Turn Brake Controller

What is the latest word on red turn signal bulbs. I have the Kuryakyn controller, but haven't found red bulbs. Wondering if the Kuryakyn 4620 is the ticket. Pins are offset 170 dgrees, which looks about right. Lists Honda and Yamaha models. They are $12.99 ea. I'm also interested in red LED turn signal bulb replacement. Anyone have a source and part number?

I installed my LED lights this weekend. I put the BAU15s lights in the turn signals, I used a pair of six inch Signal Dynamics strips as a high mount brake light, and a pair of three inch strips mounted on the bar frame. Both are dual intensity, so they are running lights and brake lights.

I had wanted to mount the 6 inch strips on the hard bags, but didn't think about the strips being rigid and flat, where the bags are curved. Oh well, it turned out nicely.

I tied all this together to the Kuryakyn Run Turn Brake module. It also flashes the brake and turn signal lights 3 times when I apply the brakes.

That is some righteous visibility Crazyman:bch:You should be able to wake up the dead or any soccer mom, on her cell phone while titillating herself, for certain.

Thanks. It must have been my camera, because it's not much different than a lot of cruisers I see with LEDs around here.

I do like having more light in back. Flashing 3 times when I tap the brakes. Gets peoples attention. I was hit from behind a couple of years ago. That was the incentive to increase the rear visibility.
