Rumors of a new Rocket 3 refresh model

Personally, I like the new color options. Performance numbers aren’t worth the price bump, though inflation is hard to escape. Happy with my jump on a ‘23 when I did though. Maybe Triumph will authorize flashing our bikes to the new maps without affecting warranty.

As far as I understand flashing the ECU does not void the warranty as only modifications that cause a defect will do so. I've read the warranty twice and that's what I understand. When I go for my 10K service I will just have to let them know not to mess with the ECU, I have not flashed it yet by the way.

I’d like to know other’s experience on this. I called three different Triumph dealers across the US while trying to decide about extended warranty and asked about things that might cause the warranty to be voided. All three said a slip-on exhaust would be fine, but if I got it tuned and changed the emissions it would likely void the warranty. So I decided to hold off trying to tune until I go out of warranty. Would like to have this refuted by others though. I have bought a Competition Werkes exhaust and the Penner Tune was about to be one of my first mods too.

I'm going to call some random dealers this weekend and see what I can find out. I spoke to a dealer in AZ a while ago who was perfectly willing to get rid of the cat, put on the werkes exhaust (which I'm not doing) and was told that the warranty would only be voided if a mod is the cause of a failure/defect. But that's Arizona and they do things differently there.

I spoke to my dealer her in Oz, and they said Triumph would have to show cause that the tune caused a failure to deny warranty. Easy to do if you shred the final drive, hard to do if your instrument cluster cracked as examples. Even when I flashed mine in warranty, the dealer still did brake bleeds etc as warranty items knowing I had a tune. After the 12-month service they said "Yours is tuned right? We loaded a new release into the ECU, you may have to reload your tune." Nice guys...

In California (aka, the state of confusion) the dealers will melt down if you ask for any modifications. Even a horn that they sell to you they won't put it on you bike. ZERO modifications that are not OEM. I had to ride to Reno to put my TORS on my old 2014 Rocket. When my dealer sells a used motorcycle it has to be 100% stock or they won't buy it from you to sell on their floor. I called a Triumph dealer in the Bay Area about the new Storm and replacing the maps on my 2020 with the 2025 Storm maps and all I heard was crickets at first. He knew nothing about the Storm and stated he doubted very seriously they would re-map any motorcycle and realistically it makes sense. Why would they undermine their future sells by re-mapping the older Rockets. But this is California and hopefully they will in some other sane state.

Interesting idea, however, like you said, why would they.
Doubt any UK dealers would agree to doing that either.
Here's a shout out out to anyone who finds a dealer who is prepared to do it, please let us know about it ! (I'm hoping it's somewhere here in the UK )
