Route Advice

I am still new the the area but I do know that I-59 is a nice HWY that you can really make time on, it's also very scenic.
Plus you'd miss Atlanta.

I'm in Pell City, 30 miles east of Birmingham.

Extra bed here and a hot meal, beer too.

Just ordered a Garmin Zumo 660LM, and downloaded Basecamp to my laptop, so hopefully I will be able to figure it out and map a route, then load it to the GPS.

I got one of those a few weeks ago and love it!
I can now hear the GPS through my Sena SMH10 as well as cell phone.
Only bad thing so far - is it does NOT work with my Garmin Eco Route and Mechanic.

Blue Ridge Parkway to Cherokee, then hwy 19 to moonshiner 28. That lands you at the dragon. Go through the dragon then turn around come back thru and stay on 129 to Cherohala skyway. At Tellico plains South on 68. Then hwy 64 to I 75. Get on interstate with a huge grin. That is a beautiful ride with some of the best riding in the US.

I agree with Wannbe's route. When you get to Tellico Plains, your only a quick throttle twist from Rainman and Wendy.

Thanks. That sounds like a great route, and I mapped it out on my computer. Now I need to pull the new GPS out of the box and learn how to program it.

Only issue now is timing. The trucking company is delivering the bike a week later than i was originally told. So that means Carpenter won't have time to get it done in time for me to get it on my next days off. Looks like I'll have to make the ride in September, which I'm hoping has better weather.

Who is the shipper?

@Steel Are they giving you a partial refund?
As soon as my bike gets in, gonna have to ride over and meet up with you. Whereabouts in south LA?
