Rocket screens
According to Triumph every Triumph part/accessary fitted to a Triumph motorcycle is tried and tested to make sure it is compatible and of good quality. If that's the case I would like to know who the hell tried and tested their screens.
It seems to me that no matter what screen is fitted, fly, sport, summer or roadster they just don't work, look good maybe, but effective no. I've never read so much adverse comments about a particular product area.
Riding to work every day and not having the arms of a gorilla I had to have some form of protection. I bought a fly screen on advice and found it totally useless on my 5' 11" frame. I then bought the roadster which gave me the protection I wanted but at the expense of having my fillings shaken about from the turbulence when using a full face whilst using my open face I can get blurred vision at speed. By using my hand I find that the airflow at the front clears my helmet but there is tremendous turbulence from either corner of the screen.
I'm now wondering if by cutting or reshaping the ends I can eradicate the turbulence or perhaps by drilling holes inset from the corner edges I can disrupt the turbulent airflow (similar effect to the additional fins fitted to aircraft wing tips which itself was copied from the wingtips of certain large birds of prey).
Perhaps there is some aerodynamics expert who can advise what to do. I don't want to go buying another screen especially one that fits to the handlebars (sorry but I just don't like them); but likewise I don't want to experiment with a £350 screen and find nothing works.
