Rocket sidecar duty

The leading link was built by the local Guru here in Victoria name of Phil Duffy. Postage to the USA would probably be a killer. You will note from the following pictures my chair is mounted on the left hand side so the mount points will differ a little for you.
The triangular plates are how the toe in is setup, flipping them gives a few mm adjustment and to change larger amount a new set are used.
The sub frame mounts to the foot peg rails so you would be able to add brackets to it to lower the peg rails if you want.

BM, Driving a sidecar rig is similar to riding a four wheeler ATV. But is more work than riding two wheels as you are constantly steering. The rig does not lean in curves, but you do.

It does require learning a new skill set to operate safely. Not hard to learn, just different. The longer you have been riding two wheels, the more you have to un-learn to drive a sidecar. It may look like a motorcycle but it acts differently.

One huge advantage is you no longer are concerned with debris, sand, mud on the road as the bike is not going to slide out from under you. Passengers enjoy the better view from a sidecar than the back of a motorcycle as they can read, nap, snap photos or read their iPad when riding in a sidecar. They can't fall off if they doze off. Dogs and grandkids make great sidecar companions.

Sidecars can go just as fast as any two or four wheels plus they are much more visible to car drivers. That makes them safer.

Any motorcycle can be fitted with a sidecar. Later one can go back to two wheel by removing the sidecar. Once you convert a motorcycle to a trike, there is no going back. You can also carry more camping gear with a sidecar than a trike or two wheels.

The next national sidecar rally will be in Mena, Arkansas at the CMA Iron Mountain campgrounds the first weekend in June, 2020. There will be hundreds of sidecars there, all makes and models. Come on down and see the variety of rigs. Talk with the owners and learn more about this fascinating yet challenging sport.

I meant no offense. I thought hack was the slang for a sidecar rig. I test rode a Harley trike once and I felt it handed like a quad. It was a different experience for sure. I didn't feel like it had the maneuverability of a regular bike which gives me pause. I love the look of the duel shock setup up front.
