Rocket sidecar duty

I love your setup and ideas. No one is ignoring you but rather watching your build with interest. I myself am intrigued. Keep the build pics coming. I know that sidecars have been mounted to the beast but I myself have no idea where to source parts. That is one hell of a ride you have planned. I'm interested in your build and the trip. Keep the pics coming.
 
I love the car tire on the front! How does it handle? I plan on a side car setup eventually. I'm no longer hard core like you. I like a hotel at the end of the day. How many miles do you get in a day with your setup?

I must follow in the footsteps of BigNorm and Turbo200R4, I like what you are doing but can not offer any help, sorry.
Do not despair some one with experience will come along and provide ideas.

@Claviger or @1olbull ...remember the one legged gentleman in Alpine with the Indian? Do you remember who he said did his sidecar work? He was telling us that he had taken it to several places that didn't know what they were doing and finally found a "Sidecar Guru" that got him fixed up. I'm thinking it was in Houston but not positive.
 
I don't recall the shop unfortunately.

What I would offer, is, check the parts fiche. The front end parts regarding the triple are the same across all non-touring models as far as I know.

The Roadster forks and the non-roadster fork tubes aren't compatible because of the axle and wheel setups on them.
 
DMC Sidecars set me up with parts for my r65 rig, they're pretty well known sidecar specialists.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, other than the Russian URAL's every sidecar hack is a custom job. Can't just pull parts off the shelve and assemble, even less so for the Rocket3.

The three major sidecar builders, Hannigan, DMC and Freedom Sidecars, have not built more than one or two Rocket sidecar rigs each. Would guess there are less than a dozen Rocket hacks nationwide. Not a profitable niche for builders. But a very interesting project to me due to the capabilities and platform of the Rocket.

Will continue posting photos as work progresses. Will be a slow winter project for sure.
