Hello, A while ago I had to replace the valve cover gasket on my 2017 Rocket 3. Had trouble finding any videos showing the repair so I decided to record my process and finally got around to creating the video. Hopefully if any of you have to go do this repair this video can be helpful. I appoligize for the horrible audio quality ahead of time lol

well done; i'm on gasket #4 thankfully holding with the help of local k. Frazier here in nashville. Just getting to the cover is the biggest PIA
Yeah for me getting that little black bracket the holds the intake tube on and off was the hardest part. And getting a torque wrench to some of the bolts lol by the 4th replacement you must be a pro at it now

well after 3 other attempts at the dealership kevin volunteered and thankfully the 4th is holding. I will say the torque specs need to be strictly followed I believe 3 passes if i recall correctly. Under the tank is a bit of a rats nest with the plenum and wires etc. The valve cover is an issue for many with this bike but for others they never had it drip- those are the lucky ones.

Oh nice thats awesome, hopefully it continues to hold for you! And yeah I was very careful with the torque specs, although I believe for the 2017 they were supposed to be 12nm but everywhere I read everyone recommended 10nm so thats what I did on mine and it worked. Yeah some people get lucky and dont have the issue, hopefully the next one I get wont have the problem

Just a heads up for those tight places where the torque wrench & allen socket is too “long” to get in, cut the shaft of the socket down.
