2014 Triumph Rocket III Roadster
Hi, I'm after a set of handlebars from a Rocket 3 Touring. They must be in excellent condition. thanks!
Tony

For your info the Classic model versions are also more pulled back than the Roadster versions if that is what your seeking.

How do the Classic ones differ from the Touring?

Not a 100% sure but some searching the forums should provide some answers.

Here are a few relevant comments from just one thread.

Roadster Handlebar Risers Research

I have a Roadster with the raisers and a pair of Classic bars which bring your hands back a little further. Those paired with a Corbin seat with back rest make my bike the fastest arm chair around, I love it

I have a 2013 Roadster and from Q&A's on this site chose to just swap my bars for the touring bars. I didn't just want the pullback but a little less wrist angle. I found with the stock bars my wrists weren't at a relaxed angle. The touring bars worked out perfectly for my shape. I'm 5'9'' with long arms 180lbs. I did have to re route the clutch cable but nothing else. It wasn't much change at all but it was exactly the right fix for me. I used too get cramps and back stuff after maybe 4 hours, now I can go 10 to 12 no problem and look forward to doing it again the next day. BTW, I don't have to do anything at all different to raise the tank as some are claiming with the RIVCO risers? Hope it helps. Also I have the stock 2013 Roadster handlebars if anyone needs them, say $75 plus shipping.

A front brake bleed is a Can-O-Corn!
If the risers with the Classic bars allow the tank to be raised, I say .
My issue is short arms, long torso. The Classic bars are an improvement.
I need at least two more inches pullback and another inch in height would be p-e-r-f-e-c-t.
LOVE the comment, "the fastest arm chair around" by @Paul Jacobs!
I want that as well! :D

The roadster / classic handlebars put you back a littlebit compared to the roadster and have a different hand/arm angle.

The touring handlebars are much different and you sit much more upgright.

I don't have exact dimensions unfortunately.

Another option that came with my used '10 Roadster are these Thunderbike T bars from NZ 1.25" or 1.5" oversize, mine are 1.5"

Prices include air freight delivery to Australia

Over Oversize Rocket III T-Bars.AU$ 494.50
Massive 1.5 inch tubing gives these bars the bulk to match the Rocket.

Custom fit for the Rocket, these bars require no extra parts or modification of the bike to install. So the same cables and controls fit right back on!

190mm rise and 160mm pullback.
Width of bars is approx 820mm not including bar end weights.
Comes with fitting instructions and an instrument relocation bracket should it be needed.

Rocket 3 Oversize TBars 1.25 AU$ 411.60
Fits current mounting, no alterations needed
No extended cables needed
Fat 1 1/4" tube with standard size mounting.
190mm rise and 160mm pullback.
Width of bars (not including end weights) approx 820mm
Supplied with instrument relocation bracket in case required and fitting instructions.

An old hand TOMCAT said they did need a longer Classic clutch cable which he corrected in another thread to state 30mm longer actually.

I ran Thunderbike fat T-Bars on my Standard for a year or two. Were awesome when I was travelling a lot , could lean back on my swag (pre rider backrest days) .. they are really well made bars. I've got the stock Standard bars with Rivco risers back on my bike nowadays. If you go for the Thunderbike T-Bars you"ll only need a Classic clutch cable (3 inches longer) .. throttle cables and brake lines fit.

My bike when I bought it. They fit in the std lower mount and use the std top bar cover to fix so can easily be rortated backwards and forwards for height and angle. When I got the bike they were fitted too low and touched the instrument pods and had caused the pod bracket to gouge paint on tank at full lock. Since raised so no longer press down on pods and no problem.

Photobucket stole my photos :mad::banghead:

Thank you for all the great info guys! Very much appreciated as I'm on a steep learning curve with the rocket variants.

The thing I disliked most about the Touring and changed first were the handlebars, they bend your wrists almost 90 degrees. Classic bars with Rivco risers fixed that.
