Hi guys and gals,, just asking, is it an option to use a single sided rear paddock stand instead of a bike lift? to drop out the rear wheel?

Haven't heard of one being available, but i'm interested if there is.

Would be a good seller if some bright spark mocked it up
I was at the bike show this week and I asked a few of the exhibitors who manufacture & distribute bike stands & lifts etc...
They all said they didn't offer anything for the Rocket 3 and that there aren't any plans to develop anything along those lines. i.e. anything specifically for the Rocket.

Well... I did try to convince them that there would be a 100% take up if they did produce something, but they didn't take the bait unfortunately.

Good on ya for trying! Don't ask, don't get! I might get the welder out with a few scaffold poles?

I think the only way to make a paddock stand (rear wheel / rear end) would be to create a cradle around/under the bevel box and somehow lift from there.
Basically, I don't think there is any significant sized hole available in the axle shaft to get a pole through, like there is, say, on a modern Ducati single sider.

I probably haven't looked close enough to be 100% sure about that, but it's certainly not obvious at first glance, on either side of the bike.
I therefore don't think it's an easy 'wack a scaffold tube through the wheel hub' kinda thing...... as Scotty would say.... 'It's no easy captain'

It'd be nice for that, but you'd still need to lift it for when you want to work on the front, so I'm happy with just the basic ATV jack. Does it all.

when you look at the underside where a stand would balance the bike there are no place short of drilling in the engine block
