Roadster tank on Classic

Is it possible to put a later model roadster fuel tank on a 2005 Classic. If so, any modifications.

Is it possible to put a later model roadster fuel tank on a 2005 Classic. If so, any modifications.

Pretty sure the tanks are compatible except for paint. Be careful of older tanks with rusty inside.

Only difference is fuel pump connector I have both a 09” classic and 18” roadster the roadster has a extra pin connector for fuel gauge but both fuel pumps are interchangeable you good my man
