I've been trying to find some reviews on the Triumph Fog Lamps for the Roadster. For those of you using them, are you happy with their operation? I know they are not cheap, but neither are any of the better quality lamps out there.
Thanks

They work great but the brackets cannot handle long term high speed riding the develop stress fractures in the flats of the brackets. Other then that the lights are great I wish I could use mine but taosted two brackets already. If your not riding alot above 125 they might hold up. Othere may come along and show you different ways to mount good fog lights like on the sides of the radiator. Agin this might be fine if you running slow speeds Myself I would not chance fracturing the radiator as they are to darn expensive.

Thanks, I didn't expect to hear that the brackets are weak. Good to know. I'm guessing that you are referring to 125 mph.....that's roughly 200 km/h....probably not much chance of that happening....on a regular basis anyway

Yes MPH I lost two of my brackets at different ocasions both were above 140 one was on landing the beast sometime you get air at high speeds. Anyway bot shown signs of fateague fractures which seem to happen over time. Other then that I love the lights just can't afford to keep buying brackets. I might have to manufacture some non standard ones.

Know that Ponters has been running them on his Roadster for a fair while . Only just changed them over .. no problems with the brackets breaking , know this because I've got them now. Unless you are riding at the sorts of speeds mentioned above I wouldn't be concerned.

I would have to agree if your not runing the high speeds I do the Fog lights are great they give a wide angle of view which is good for watching critters that might step out in the road. If I were to use them again I would look at getting the same mounting brackets made but out of thicker material.

Thanks fellas, I've ordered a set, like the way they look and I don't think I'll be entering into warp speed any time soon:cool:

Bother. Got here too late. Here's why.

ime the alternator can only JUST cope with both headlamps and both Foglamps. Any other electrical goodies - and you could see voltage drop. It's partially why I converted my set to LED - no it was not simple required machining out the inside of the light bodies

The Alternator copes at under 120kph - much over that and the added "sparking" load increases beyond what the alternator can output.

Also there are MUCH BETTER and cheaper fog lamps out there. The exact same lamps can be found on e-Bay for about €30 each. No brackets or wiring naturally.

Aesthetically - they do suit the monster though.

^^^ thanks, as I'm still new to the Rocket, I think it's time to figure out the current draw off the charging system to see how things balance out electrically. You are correct indeed, if the charging system just gets by then LED's are the way to go. Sounds like a winter project.
