Riding mode button not working, Menu button working one of ten times

Morning update:
After reconnecting battery the "Check engine" error disappeared.
Buttons did not worked, but on second they started to response. Not perfectly, but yes.
I set the date, time and my riding mode.
Then I get "perfect" idea to spray them with contact cleaner. To both. Guess what happened. Yes, both stopped to work.
Now I think, there can be not the wet but wax from cleaning or dirt. I don't want to disassemble the whole unit, I'll leave it for the service. I've sprayed CRC 5-56 (earlier developed and better than WD40) and I'll try to mack it, if it doesn't manage to clean the contacts.
I think I could blow it with compressor and clean air, but I don't have one. Maybe it helps.

thats exactly what happened with me, your buttons are shot now, good luck, you must replace either buttons on the cube or get a new cube, you dont have any more life left in those buttons, their days are outnumbered as same thing happened with me.

Sunny, you say the buttons are now buggered? How can they wear out so fast? This is a real issue for this bike if the handle bar buttons are crapping out at such a young age.

Sounds like water in the switches, based on what you've said. I do not cover my switches when washing the bike (and ride in the rain), so not sure how this happens, exactly, but sure sounds like the issue. I would get some compressed air (dust-off) in a can and give that a go, since you don't have a compressor. I'm not familiar with the spray you used, but would think WD-40 might help after thoroughly drying out the switches and then blow it out again. I think water out and it'll behave. I'd do all this before writing off all the electrical components and before resorting to taking it to a shop. Btw, how many miles are on your bike?

I realize that basic maintenance is not for everyone, but if you can read a recipe and cook, you can do your own oil change. You're going to ride nearly 300km (time/gas) and then wait for someone else to do what you can definitely do yourself in less time, with the oil of your choice, and much cheaper. You should consider it- there are many posts here about it and it's well documented in the maintenance manual (located in Resources- top of this page). It's not (sorry)..... Rocket science

Every time I disconnected my battery the quick shift just worked after enabling it again, I did not know I had to train it.

I will ask in service and then try air compressor.
Regarding mileage, 54000km in 2 and half year.
