Ride
everywhere
Hello friends,
today I installed the backrest and by that operation I disconnected and reconnected one cable in the space between frame and plactic cover on bottom to put the cable to the hole on frame. This can be the reason but also can be other.
Some hours later during the ride I found out that I cannot change the riding modes and also when I stop, I cannot open menu. Both buttons does not react. After restart of the system, sometimes the menu is possible to enter. Now I go to reconnect the cable again and I try to put it to original place, but I don't trust that it helps.
Do you know, what can be the root cause of this issue? Everything else (lights, turn signals, horn, tempomat, joystick, engine) seems to work.

Now I reconnected the cable, no change.
Sometimes the menu starts during start, also riding mode button was live for a while.
Few days ago I washed the motorcycle, but nothing special.

I returned cables as were, but situation the same.
Then I removed 5A fuse for a while, but then I must set the date and time. After some tries I was able to enter the menu and do it, but not able to choose the riding mode.
Additional error at the end: Check engine.

I will see tomorrow. On monday I will call the service. Next monday am I ordered to oil change, but it is 150km far from my home. I hope, there will be no big problem and I can go on my wheels. So and so, I will be thankful for any advice or info.

At a guess from reading your posts, I think the clue is when you said you washed the bike a few days ago, water has possibly got into the switches. I note it says in the handbook to cover the switches when washing it? Very strange for a motorcycle I think, but that's what it says, so maybe these switches are not very waterproof.

Possible remedy for you, using an air hose see if you can blow out any water from inside the switches. You wouldn't have to dismantle them at first, just a gentle blowing in & around & see if any water comes out.

thanks, i try. but this time i washed it only with sponge, not with wap as usual.
but what the "check engine" error? i disconnected battery for night to reset the computer. maybe helps.

Did you disconnect the battery while doing your wiring? If so you need to reset the date & time, this will restore the service light interval to what is was before. Because the date is wrong probably 2099 year, it thinks it's past due for a service, hence the check engine light being on.

Just check your date & time in any case.

Ahhh, I read properly, I see you did disconnect the battery. Yep reset the time & date & the check engine light will go out. If you have a quickshifter installed you also need to enable that in bike setup menu (TSA), it defaults to disabled.

You'll also have to allow 'relearn' of the quickshifter. There is another thread on the forum about how to do this, I've copied it for you. It 100% works as I've tried it.

After 10 seconds in 6th gear, the quick shifter works again, no need to stop or shutdown, it just begins to work again as usual.

I don't have quickshifer.

After remove and reinstall fuse I must set correct date and time, but I thing, after that happened the error. Now i disconnected battery completely and morning i try to connect it.
