Ride Improvement With Stock Shocks...

The ride was always rough, but after towing the bike three times to Daytona, even with cautious use of straps it has become slightly worse. Drawing upon info learnerd elsewhere, I changed the stock settings on the rears from "1" to "3." I can't say the ride improvement was major, but it seems that the rear has a little more bounce to it than "crash."

I may actually try it at "5" to see how it feels next...

Oh I knew this was coming...I just didn't think it would be the first post!!

What did they sting you for the 10K service if you dont mind me asken
 
Don't know yet...depends on if valves need to be ****ed with.

$400+/- including the oil change, new plugs (regardless), and a very long list involving the removal of the tank, and cam cover, plugs, etc.

They are also taking a look at the rims-though it is all conditional, but may offer a credit of some type. We'll see...

They also matched price 411 on tires, though again we'll see how the 10K rolls out $$$ and if they give me new rims (free mount & balance) on the new skins.
 
They done the valve shims on mine and said it wasnt much fun.That = $786.02 AU for oil,plugs and all the time.
 
had 16000km service on valves, plug check, injector balence , $180NZ ,
did oil's + filter myselph $130NZ

$700austalian seems expensive

I reset my shocks to 3 and found that to be better. Just had 10,000 mile
dealer check. The valves where good and did change the rear end oil.
I am going to change that every 4000 miles my self from now on.
