The last hundred miles was a tough travel through all the storm damage from about Texarkana to Grand Saline. Like coming through a hurricane aftermath, following pilot cars through the one lane carnage, detours around towns, waiting for someone with a chainsaw to clear trees out of roads. What a trip. Yesterday was 95 with heat index of 123 by 1:30pm. Man I miss West Virginia already.
