Replace 2 rear tires for every front?

Has anyone tried the Metzeler me888 marathon ultras yet? i've been happy with the Avon cobras (on my 3rd set) but i'll be needing a new set soon and i've heard the metzelers give you more mileage
I had ME888 on my Intruder 800. Very mixed emotions. Briefly:
IRC (stock), hard like hockey puck, slips everywhere, but not bad on wet, 26000km
ME888WW (first pair), good on dry, lower average on wet, 50000km
ME888WW (second pair), must be absolutely different than the first, slips on dry and wet, lasts only 27000km
Shinko 777 (ME888 were not reachable), few thousands km, really good.
I know R3 is different world than Intruder 800. I slowly think about new tires but will remain by Avon. Specially due to handling on wet surfaces.

Using almost all front brake?
90% of the braking on my GT is front brake. Have 7k miles on original Cobras.. I always replace both front and rear tires
even if not totally worn. With only a few inches of contact patch with the pavement, its not worth even one road rash
not to have good traction equal front and back.

if find that I typically change the rear twice, to one front tire, on both the R III T and the R3 GT, burn outs don't help, but it does them so well that you just can't help it

In relation to to another articles and videos, the non-EU mileage is very strange. As I wrote, I have now something more than 13000km and the tires looks worn maybe around the half. Here puts people photos of totally worn tires after few thousands miles. Is outside EU totally different asphalt? Or how it is possible?

speed limit?, i thought they were just suggestions, they honestly expect people to go that slow?, then again on highways here they have LED signs that tell you how much time it will take to get to certain interchanges, i just assumed they were challenging me to beat the time that they had posted to get to each interchange.

we have electronic signs that tell you how fast you are going and when i go past they show (SLOW DOWN)
