Redesigned RamAir filter available for ordering

I don't think the rubber spacer is supposed to push into the filter. It sits on the outside and stops the IAT sensor going too far into the body of the filter. For some reason the shape of the sensor makes it very difficult to pull it out of the RamAir if you should forget to fit the spacer. DAMHIK.

Hey Mark, thanks for the reply. Now I'm confused. If I don't use the spacer, the IAT sensor would be too loose and I can't even hold it in place. So I had to use the spacer, semi insert it into the hole before squeezing in the sensor. Am I missing something here?

On my bike the spacer isn't insert d at all. It just sits against the outside wall of the RamAir casing. Using an appropriately sized O-ring instead should work well.

I just completed the Ramair Installation on my 2011 R3R. I had the same problem, what I did was take the Rubber piece that previously held the IAT sensor into the air box, I trimmed off 1 flange and inserted it into the hole where it should be mounted on the NEW filter, and the IAT sensor fits nice and snug as it did in the old air box.

Nice. Exactly what I was planning to do for now till I find a suitable replacement.
