i'm trying to find out if in any other parts of the world, red turn signal lenses are used? if so, then i will try to order a pair for the back of my 08 rocket. after that i plan on doing the old harley mod by using a pair of front rocket 3 t/s housings which have the dual element bulb and mounting them in the rear. this should give me two additional running lights/tail lights. if anyone knows if red lenses are available, please let me know. thanks.

No red lenses in Australia. Really like the clear lenses the Scandanavian member makes, he was going to send me a set but i never got them

thanks tomcat. there may also be another bike that uses the same diameter lens with similar hole spacing for the screws. ahh, the search continues. i just like the option of having three taillights because if the main taillight bulb burns out, i'd think we'd be running down the road invisible at night. just a thought anyway.

Depends on your relationship with the local law enforcement.

DOT rules plainly state that the only rearward facing red lights can be brake or clearance lights. Turnsignals must be amber facing rearward and forward.

Clear lenses with amber bulbs work.

Them's the rules for motorcycle turnsignals according to the gubment, at least the latest ones as given to me by the state of GA's DMV inspection board. I edited out the ones for anything else covered in this section.

Here's a link to the document if you want to look for yourself, the tables are at the end of the doc.

I am also looking for red lenses for the rear turn signals.
My recently acquired Kisan Signal Minder SM-1 will convert turn signals to running lights and also flash as brake lights.
Has anyone found a source?
