Recommend a bike lock for my RKT 3...

Any recommendations for a lock for the Rocket? Cable? Chain? Wheel lock ? Grip lock? I know they will not stop a determined thief, but they should deter opportunists...

A disc lock is actually a viable option on Rocket. Very unlikely someone is going to lift one into the back of a truck or trailer. The Xena lock is about the best value for money around and has the loudest alarm I know of - we stock several types and it's the one I bought (not that I use it around here).

Warning as Richard indicated if indeed someone is single handedly lifting The Beast by themselves do not attempt to stop them if you are unarmed!

That's funny. Reminds me of a pair of size 16 boots we specially ordered. The guy doesn't want them but it's fine. Really. Had his name on them for a whole and then someone crossed it out and put "Sir" instead.

opportunists aren't going to move the rocket that easily the determined thief on the other hand has experience and with any decent angle grinder with a carbide blade will cut any chain cable or what have you in seconds a bit more difficult with a disc lock so I 'd go with the disc lock
I have seen the cops in amsterdam around the train station downtown and believe me they cut all sort of chains in seconds to remove bikes from metal barricades and nobody pays any attention .. go with the disc lock

Ya think..!! Not here in Boston and NYC.. theives don't even have to case the stores anymore they can do it over the internet. http://www.martinmoto.com/ I bought this lock from biker bandit I like the alarm feature on the Xena though....
